Off The Market

We signed the contract yesterday. And barring subject removal, this baby is SOLD!

We have a great buyer who is so easy to work with. And despite us accepting a lower offer than we had hoped for (and sold for less than we bought!), we're still coming out with about $10 000 more than we would've had we listed with a realtor. So, that feels really good. Here's hoping that the whole deal goes through. I'm not quite sure at what point I can finally relax and know that it's a done deal! We'll be moving out by the middle of April so that Erik can do a few renovations (that were included in the contract). Then the plan is to move in with Erik's parents for a month or so and then head to Manitoba again for the summer.

So, is it too soon to start packing???

Yes. Lower. House prices were at their peak when we bought (lucky us) and by the time we actually had possession of our townhouse (3 months later) it had already decreased in value. So sad.

Well, it sold, and you can hopefully be free and clear SOON, after all those conditions are removed. Enjoy packing (cute photo!) and planning for a summer with your family! Maybe this time you can stop in on your way there or home. Please? :)

That's great news, Jamie! Hopefully we can see you on your way to or from Manitoba! I HATE packing, so I don't envy you that one bit!

Hooray! I'm behind on my blog reading so just now catching up. When are the subjects to be removed? Bummer on the depreciation, but what a relief to finally have a buyer!
