Micah had his first preschool field trip on Friday to Willow View Farm. One parent was required to go and siblings were welcome to join, so I left Silas napping at home (in Grandma's care) and took Micah and Keziah to meet his class at the farm.
We rounded up as many of them as we could for this photo. Can you find Micah?
We spent some time in the barn with the animals - goats, pigs, bunnies, turkeys... you name it!
Then it was time for the hayride. Here they are smiling for the camera but their eyes were too busy looking everywhere else :)

It's very similar to the Apple Barn - the only time I was at the Apple Barn it was rainy and cold so the Willow View experience was better, but I think the Apple Barn may be slightly more "polished". Both are great though!
Willow View Farm is located almost at the very end of McCallum Road going South.

We love Willow View! I've been three times in the last two weeks already. Even yesterday, I had about 20 minutes before I had to get Max from school. I went and sat in the shade to nurse Jax while Marty played. It's much more relaxed than The Apple Barn, which can get really hectic and overwhelming for preschoolers. It's better for 4-5 years and up. Apple Barn charges for admission. Avoid going on the weekend! It can also be busy during the week with school field trips. Willow View has free admission to the playground and petting zoo. The only thing you have to pay for is $1.50 per person for the hayride (2 and under are free). Take some quarters to buy loose corn from the dispenser to feed the goats. Oh, and $2.50 for an apple slushie to share. And $1.00 for a Snack Jack pumpkin. :) Did I mention that we love Willow View?! I'm excited to go with just Marty for his school field trip next Thursday.
