Erik and I took the "long" way home from Boissevain back to Abbotsford. We decided to head up to Saskatoon for a couple of days and visit some of Erik's relatives. We haven't been back to Saskatoon since Micah was a baby. The city holds a lot of memories for us since we met at Bethany College (north of Saskatoon) and I lived in the city for a year with some girlfriends while Erik and I were dating.
We stayed 2 nights with Erik's Grandpa & Grandma Toews. Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and has been undergoing treatments and surgery since then. It was good to see her doing so well and feeling so healthy.
I'm surprised Keziah was willing to snuggle with "Opa" :)
The kids had fun with the toys and dress-up clothes in Opa & Oma's basement:
But sometimes I worry that Micah has a little TOO much fun...
We spent some time with Erik's younger cousins who we haven't seen for ages! Here is Lauren taking Silas down the slide:
Erik's cousin Sarah watches while Micah tries out some interesting playground equipment:
Silas walking up a storm (Erik's Uncle Fred watching in the background):
Taking a look at Erik's work portfolio...
Dana & Sarah.
Saying good-bye. Silas was beyond "good-byes" at this point :P
We had a great visit, even though it was short!
(Grandma didn't want her picture taken in her housecoat, but I think she looks fantastic and I hope she doesn't mind that I posted this :)

Glad you had fun with your Saskatoon family. How blessed your kids are to have all the great granparents on Erik's side. mom
Seeing your picture about Micah helps me to be thankful my son isn't the only boy who likes to dress up like that. Today we were shopping and my son was so pumped to see a purse. He wanted to play with it. I think he's had too many girlfriends in the last couple of years.
Thanks for including Saskatoon in your travel home. It was great to see you again. Shirley
LOVE the dress-up pictures :)
that interesting playground equipment is also here at Mill Lake at the new park...exercise? i don't know...
